40 HP 366 RPM top head motor; 25 HP 3600 RPM bottom head motor;
3PH/60Cy/460V. Feedworks consisting of four feed rolls: top infeed roll
and top outfeed roll each consist of three pneumatictires mounted on steel
shafts; top roll yokes are pivoted from frame allowing stock variations and quick
roll raising; quad roll infeed idle rolls and single idle bottom outfeed roll.
Infinitely variable feed from self-contained hydraulic drive system; 15 HP hydraulic
pump motor; feed speeds 40-150 FPM. Sectional top head chipbreaker with
3" wide sections, with hardened steel toe pieces. Air operated release top head
chipbreaker; infeed table with kickback fingers; electric heater element and
controls for hydrualic tank; electric grinder and truing and jointing device for
grinding and jointing knives in the top and bottom cylinder; cutterhead brakes;
dust hoods. Automatic Cut Control for elimination of fixed bottom head cut.
Remote Control Pushbutton Console to be located at operator's position.
Air Operated Pressure Bar Release. Quietcut Helical Carbide Cutterhead,
six-knife, includes grinder and jointer.
